The electric scooters industry began with chargers. Anyone with a phone could download the app and signup to be a charger. The industry evolved out of necessity to communities of entrepreneurs running several fleets of scooters in each city. SAFETY FIRST
OUR FOCUS IS THE RIDERS' SAFETY. EACH VEHICLE IS THOROUGHLY INSPECTED BEFORE EACH DEPLOYMENT TO ENSURE THAT EACH VEHICLE IS RIDE READY FOR THE NEXT 50 MILES. BRAKES, TIRE PRESSURE, HEADLIGHT AND TAILLIGHT, THROTTLE, AS WELL AS THE VEHICLE OVERALL HEALTH IS INSPECTED EACH AND EVERY TIME. THAT IS OUR COMMITMENT TO OUR COMMUNITY AND OUR RIDERS.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT
$.15 of every ride on a shared mobility device is paid to the City of Austin to help support the community. The city uses these funds to build bike lanes and sidewalks, improve streets, and much more. These funds make up millions of dollars each year into the city's budget. Thank you for helping us make our community a better place for EVERYONE!
CLEAN ENERGY TRANSPORTION
Every ride taken on an electric scooter reduces our carbon foot print. We are even maximizing this by only purchasing 100% electric vehicles starting in 2022 to collect our fleet of Bird scooters. We also conduct an energy audit every year to evaluate and reduce any excess waste. BIRD is also committed to an excellent recycling program, because sustainability matters.
